Research & Advocacy
With statistical tools and methodologies, BENCOBPA commissions research into identifying priority issues that affects business growth and development in Benue state.
The research also produces policy recommendations for relevant stakeholders to adopt and implement. In 2016, BENCOBPA conducted a research that produced the first Benue State Business Agenda. This policy document was used for advocacy engagements with relevant stakeholders and reviewed in 2020 to produce a revised Benue State Business Agenda.
The revised SBA was produced to highlight the present realities of the business and professional communities especially in the face of the covid-19 pandemic. Another research produced by BENCOBPA is the Survey on the Perennial Herders/Farmers Crises and their impact on Benue State Economy.
BENCOBPA engages with the Government, Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) for the implementation of policy recommendations contained in the SBAs and other research –based reports.
BENCOBPA conducts its advocacy interventions through policy-centered dialogues and advocacy visits to relevant stakeholders. The aim of BENCOBPA’s advocacy is to contribute and influence policy reform processes for the socio-economic development of the state.
BENCOBPA believes through advocacy and regular interactions with the state government, policies can be reformed and implemented to improve the economy of the state.
